- Sago - 1 Cup
- Rice Flour - 1/4 Cup
- Bengal Gram Flour - 1/2 Cup
- Big Onions - 1 Cup Chopped
- Green Chillies - 3 or 4 Finely Chopped
- Curry Leaves Chopped - 1/4 Cup
- Coriander Leaves - 1/4 Cup
- Ghee - 1/2 Tea Spoon
- Chilli Powder - 1 Tea Spoon
- Asafoetida - 1/4 Tea Spoon
- Curd - 2 to 4 Tea Spoons
- Fennel Seeds - 1/4 Tea Spoon
- Oil - For Deep Fry
- Salt - To Taste
- Coconut Pieces (optional) - 1 Table Spoon
Method
- Soak Sago for minimum 6 hours.
- Squeeze sago well and take it in a vessel
- To this add all the above ingredients and mix well.
- While adding the ingredients finally add necessary curd so that batter will not become watery.
- Heat the oil well and keep the flame in sim
- Now fry Vadas - deep fry.
Tasty Vadas are ready.
Note: The above quantity will give 12 to 15 medium size Vadas.
